Sadly the temperature is expected to drop down into the high 20s this weekend – in some places as low as 25. This means that any of our late season summer crops that are left as well as unhardy fall crops may be affected. Say goodbye to cucumbers, hot peppers, and okra. Here at my house we are moving all of the potted ones of these to the greenhouse to keep them safe. It’s time to cover up unhardy fall crops such as artichokes, Chinese cabbage, radicchio and cauliflower. These temps are okay for collards, kale, cabbage, and spinach and actually help sweeten them. Good luck and enjoy the crisp weather!
