Hello again! It’s Darius Vojdani from the Sustainable Agriculture Marketing 214 class. I wanted to provide you with an update on the latest happenings on the student farm. Who doesn’t love fall?
We are getting ready to harvest all fall cops. We just harvested sweet potatoes, which had a great turnout. These sweet potatoes are now being cured in the greenhouse. They are looking very delicious! We are also harvesting baby beet greens, broccoli, and full-sized turnips.
As we speak, rows 3 and 4 are being prepped to plant a variety of garlic. We are also getting ready to start to plant cover crops in other rows.
