A culinary must have in every kitchen and camp site! In October student farmers were hard at work separating garlic bulbs into their individual cloves and preparing the cloves to be planted in their very own cozy beds for the winter. The students sorted cloves from the Hard-neck and Soft-neck cultivars.
In each bed the cloves were planted in three rows about 12 inches apart and spaced about 6 inches from each other.
We have lift off! Now it is all about Monitoring and managing this awesome crop. Mulching, weeding, and pest patrolling are on the schedule.
Looking forward to harvest!
